Roade Community Orchestra rehearses at Roade Primary School Hall, Hartwell Road, Roade. Starting at 6.30 p.m. on Tuesday evenings (term times).

Wide range of abilities and instruments welcome

Roade Community Orchestra is based in the heart of rural South Northamptonshire comprising of keen amateur musicians from all over the county. We warmly welcome musicians of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to join the orchestra with some of our members learning to play, and others very able musicians keen to pass on their skills.

No Audition

If you're considering joining an orchestra but don't fancy attending stressful auditions, don't worry, Roade Community Orchestra is open to all musicians. Whilst an audition is not required, please be aware that the music we play is Grade 4 and above.

As some instruments are popular, please check with Ian Riley that there is a vacancy.

Wide Repertoire

We enjoy playing a wide range of musical genres including classical, film themes, musicals, pop and rock arrangements, folk and jazz. 

Performing

As well as having a great deal of fun playing as an ensemble, we enjoy taking part in local community events such as fêtes and perform annual Christmas and summer concerts.

Subscription Fees

As a community orchestra we endeavour to keep subscription charges to minimum, however there are some unavoidable costs which must be paid for: music, venue and the musical director’s time. Fees are £36 per school term.
